About this trip

The reefs near Tamarindo and Playa Conchal are some of the calmest, clearest snorkeling spots on the Costa Rican Pacific. Sheltered from the swell, they’re a perfect place for beginners and kids to get their first look underwater.

You’ll see schools of yellow surgeonfish, parrotfish grazing on the coral, the occasional puffer or moray, and — on a good day — sea turtles cruising past. The water is warm year-round and the visibility is best in the dry season (December to April).

We bring masks, fins, and towels for everyone on board. Life vests and noodles are available if you’d rather float than swim. Kids 6 and up are welcome.
